This Privacy Policy describes how Orime ("we", "us", "our", the "app") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use the Orime mobile application. Orime is operated by Tanuja Paunikar, an independent developer based in India. If you have questions, contact tanuja.paunikar@gmail.com.
1. Data We Collect
We collect only the data needed to operate the app. All data we collect is linked to your account identifier.
Payment info (processed by Razorpay — we do not store full card numbers)
To process payments for flights, hotels, bill payments, and vouchers purchased through the app.
Location
Coarse (city-level) location, only when you use "Near Me" features
To show nearby offers and default travel search locations. We do not track your precise location in the background.
Identifiers
Firebase User ID, device install ID, FCM push token
To authenticate your account and deliver push notifications you opt into.
Purchases
Transaction history within the app (bookings, redemptions, bill payments)
To show your order history and personalize recommendations for you.
What we do NOT collect
We do not collect your credit card numbers, CVVs, or bank credentials.
We do not track you across other apps or websites.
We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.
We do not collect analytics beyond what is strictly necessary for the app to function (Firebase Analytics is disabled).
2. How We Use Your Data
To operate core app functionality (sign-in, profile, rewards tracking, redemptions).
To personalize recommendations based on your past usage within Orime.
To send you app notifications you have opted into (expiring points, price alerts, order updates).
To provide customer support when you contact us.
To prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.
3. Third-Party Services
Orime uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:
Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Remote Config) — used to authenticate users, store account data, and deliver notifications. Firebase Privacy
Razorpay — used to process payments for goods and services. Card details are entered and tokenized directly by Razorpay; Orime never sees your card number. Razorpay Privacy
Apple — the app is distributed via the Apple App Store. Apple may collect usage data per their own policies. Apple Privacy
We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your account data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), hosted in Google Cloud data centres. Data may be processed in regions outside India, subject to Google's security and compliance certifications.
All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS / TLS encryption.
Access to backend data is restricted to the developer (Tanuja Paunikar) using authenticated administrative access.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (e.g., tax or financial records related to transactions).
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
Access — view the data we hold about you.
Correct — update or correct your profile information in the app.
Delete — delete your account and associated data. You can do this from Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account in the app, or by emailing us at tanuja.paunikar@gmail.com. We will process your request within 30 days.
Export — request a copy of your data by emailing us.
Withdraw consent — opt out of notifications or location access at any time via iOS Settings or the app.
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you may also have the right to object to certain processing and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
6. Children's Privacy
Orime is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
